I know exactly what you mean - it's the way my grandmother gives compliments. And she's a psycho-hose-beast.There's ALSO that thing people do when, after you get a haircut or wear contacts for the first time, they're like:
"Oh, My God! You look SO much better like that!!"
Which is when I want to be like:
"Schmuck-ass, what did I look like before?"
I hate that. I used to get that one a lot in high school. Schmuck-asses.
